Chehalis Log Truck Driver Died in Crash Friday

Sadly the Washington trucking industry has lost another driver. Details on why the crash occurred have not yet been released, but our thoughts go out to his family, friends and colleagues.

Mark your calendars for the Washington Trucking Associations’ Truck Driving and Step Van Driving Championships on Saturday, June 27, 2015.

Bring your families out and cheer on all the drivers! These are the best in Washington competing to see who will go to the national event in St. Louis, Missouri.

Washington’s event will held at the Boeing Company Space Center parking lot:

20403 68th Avenue South
Kent, Washington

Timeline:
6:00 Breakfast is provided by Safeway
7:00 Roll call for drivers
9:00 Judges need to be available for training
10:00 Spectators will want to be there
Lunch is provided by Unified Grocers

Follow the aroma of popcorn to our booth to say hi and test your skill on our training simulations. See you there!

Voluntary Truck Inspection in Tacoma on Saturday

Can you use a clean inspection for your CSA scores? Would you like to get your annual inspection out of the way?

The Washington State Patrol is conducting a Voluntary Truck Inspection, Saturday, June 13, 2015. The event is sponsored by the Washington Trucking Associations’ Valley Chapter of the Log Truckers Conference and Dump Truckers Conference.

If you choose to participate, the information from this Level Five Inspection will be uploaded to your CSA scores.

IMPORTANT: Please look your equipment over prior to participating in the inspection as there will be no re-inspections.

Receiving a clean inspection will help your CSA scores and the CVSA decal will work for your annual inspection.

The event is Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 7:30 am to mid-afternoon. Lunch is between 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, coffee and donuts served all day! Suppliers are welcome!
